Last updated: May 30, 2026

At ARTIFACTO, we operate this store and website to provide you with a premium, handcrafted shopping experience. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase from our store, or otherwise communicate with us regarding our handcrafted sand art vessels. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Personal Information We Collect
In addition to standard e-commerce details, the unique nature of our made to-order craft requires the collection of specific data pools:
- Contact & Shipping Details: Name, physical shipping address, billing address, phone number, and email address (necessary for DHL Express customs clearance and delivery tracking).
- Customer Uploaded Media & Custom Specifications: Image files, brand logos, vector blueprints, text phrases, or design notes uploaded by you via our Custom Design portal for personalized commissions.
- Financial Information: Transaction details and payment confirmations processed securely through our authorized payment gateway (PayPal). We do not store raw credit card or account credentials on our local servers.
- Device & Usage Information: IP address, device type, browser configurations, network connections, and interaction logs with our store pages to secure our checkout system.

2. How We Use Your Personal Information
- Fulfillment & Personalization: To design, pour, and structurally finalize your specific sand art order, execute your custom image specifications, and arrange priority international shipping with DHL Express.
- Security & Fraud Prevention: To screen orders for potential risk, illegal activity, or unauthorized chargeback threats, ensuring a safe transaction framework.
- Communication: To provide direct studio customer support, send transit checkpoints, and resolve custom image clarity issues.

3. Data Security, Confidentiality of Custom Media, and Overriding Retention Rights
We implement strict measures to secure your premium data. Your uploaded custom design images and brand files are treated with 100% executive confidentiality and are accessed solely by the master artisan assigned to your piece.

🚨 FRAUD PREVENTION & RETENTION POLICY (Chargeback Defense): How long we retain your data is governed by operational safety and international anti-fraud laws. While custom media files are cleared from our active production queue post-delivery, your core transaction data (Name, Shipping Address, Email, IP Address, and Delivery Proof) will be securely retained for a minimum of 180 days following delivery. This retention period is mandatory to comply with financial gateway regulations and to defend the studio against fraudulent financial disputes (chargebacks), completely overriding any immediate personal data deletion requests under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA frameworks during this active dispute window.

4. Customer Liability for Uploaded Custom Graphics
By utilizing our Custom Design service and uploading any photo, graphic, trademark, or logo, you warrant and represent that you possess the absolute legal ownership, license, or explicit authorization to use and reproduce that media. ARTIFACTO acts strictly as a technical and artisanal processing service. We assume no legal liability for trademark or copyright infringements arising from graphics uploaded by customers. The customer agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless ARTIFACTO against any third party intellectual property claims.

5. International Data Transfers (Processing in Jordan)
ARTIFACTO is headquartered in Amman, Jordan. To fulfill our handcrafted made-to-order contracts, the personal information and custom design graphics you provide will be transferred, processed, and stored outside your country of residence, including within Jordan. By placing an order, you explicitly consent to this cross-border transfer necessary for the execution of your human-made sand artifact.

6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the UK, EEA, or specific US states), you possess legal rights regarding your data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information. However, as outlined in Section 3, these rights are not absolute and will be legally deferred or declined if the information is strictly necessary for active contract fulfillment, fraud prevention, or the legal defense of commercial financial transactions.

7. Contact & Data Controller Information
